Earth Memories: Ancient Replay, by John K. Hansen

High school junior Moriah Newton is the first to alert her history teacher, Jack Humphrey, about the Earth Memory Recording-EMR-discovery of Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount. It doesn’t take much to persuade Humphrey, a Christian, to organize a summer tour which will take them to see-and hear-Jesus in Capernaum as well as other ancient sites in Turkey, Italy, Greece and Israel.

Two Christian students-Moriah and her friend Sumiko Weiss-will accompany Humphrey and his wife, Tessa on the tour. So will fellow classmates and friends Darrow Dawkins and Bartee Redman-even though neither is Christian, and Darrow is not shy in expressing doubts and criticism about Christianity. Moriah’s father, EMR executive Tomas Newton, also goes on the trip-financially supports it, unbeknownst to Humphrey.

Follow the story of continuing conflict on the tour between believers and doubters, even as a parallel story is slowly revealed involving Tomas and his wife, Aly-like their daughter, also a believer.

Earth Memories: Then Again, Book Two, by John K. Hansen
Earth Memories: Then Again, Book Two, by John K. Hansen

Moriah, Su, Darrow and Bartee have just returned from a momentous journey to Israel where-via an Earth Memory Recording-EMR-they saw proof of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This experience greatly impacted nonbelievers Darrow and Bartee-soon thereafter they became followers of Jesus. Now back in Boise, the four high school students reconnect with non-travelers Cat and Vijay, the remaining two members of their tight-knit group of friends. As the six move through their senior year together, the four Christians-Moriah, Su, Darrow and Bartee-witness to Cat and Vijay who raise serious questions about the nature and purposes of God, the dynamics of salvation and the contrast between heaven and hell. Even though the greatest miracle-Jesus’s resurrection-has been proven by EMR, individual decisions to follow Him are anything but automatic, nor are they simply reached.
